What will your impact and responsibilities be?

As a R&D Laboratory Assistant you will

  • Work in a multi-disciplinary team with the goal to expedite the commercialization status of ReCatalyst’s nano-tech platform technology
  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists to help test and improve products and chemical processes
  • Help operate and maintain laboratory or pilot-scale reactors and equipment
  • Assist in the preparation and basic evaluation of reactor components and process steps
  • Help with data collection, reporting, and basic documentation of procedures
  • Work under supervision to optimize processes with regard to quality, efficiency, and safety
  • Take on any other duties, which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed

Both Higher Vocational, Bachelor graduates and candidates with relevant work experience are welcome to apply. Responsibilities and qualification requirements will be adjusted according to experience level, competence, and background.

The candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of chemical processes, reactors, or laboratory/pilot equipment
  • Interest in working as part of a technical team in a hands-on environment
  • Good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with Origin, Python, or similar is a plus

It is an advantage if you have experience with any of the following points:

  • 1 or more years of work experience in the industry
  • Experience assisting with experiments, lab work, or data collection
  • Familiarity with safety procedures, ISO standards, or working in a certified environment
  • Basic understanding of risk assessments or regulatory processes

What do we offer and description of working conditions:

The work primarily takes place in Ljubljana, at ReCatalyst’s premises at the National Institute of Chemistry. In the near future, the company plans to establish additional infrastructure capabilities in the vicinity of Ljubljana. The work will mainly be performed on-site and will be technical/experimental in nature in a laboratory and/or pilot setting.

  • Primary work location: On-site, Ljubljana, Slovenia
  • Schedule and type of work: full-time (8 hours, 5 days a week), with the possibility of flexible work.
  • Type of contract: Permanent position with a starting trial period
